The description has changed for the following unit. It now reads:

CEMS6004 Global Management Practice
Companies everywhere need to innovate to survive in global markets, rapid technological development, hyper-connectivity, sustainability concerns, and shifting consumer preferences. But this is easier said than done. Most companies - large and small - are over-reliant on past successes, and they often fail at turning creative endeavours into a sustainable competitive advantage. Yet, some companies manage to tip the balance in their favour, and successfully innovate on a regular basis. We revisit the critical issues surrounding business innovation in established companies, look at the role of strategy and top leadership, examine how managers develop powerful innovation processes, and how they encourage and support their staff in innovation work. Learn the global management practice for business innovation.

This unit will teach students how to analyse the structure of song in diverse cultures drawing on both language and musical perspectives. Songs play many different roles in cultures. For example, they can be a form of entertainment, a tool to influence the world and transmit knowledge; and an expression of religion, identity and a national culture. This unit will engage students with the question of why people sing. It will consider the impact of literacy and the notion of the 'professional' singer/composer, which are absent in many societies.

MRTY4043 Professional Capstone Classes: 4 hrs/week of seminars and tutorials for 8 weeks, online discussion and tasks
Description: This UoS is a core subject in the pass pathway of the Bachelor of Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography). It is designed to enhance the ability of students to critically appraise information on advances in the field of medical radiation science from a variety of sources. Students will also gain an appreciation of the pathways and barriers to clinical translation of new imaging techniques by investigating an area of medical radiation science practice or theory, undertaking an analysis of the literature, and applying clinical reasoning and reflective processes to identify implications for clinical practice. Key learning objectives include the appraisal of research methodologies, interpreting current evidence and demonstrating knowledge of fundamental ethical considerations while conducting research.

BHSC4013 Honours C: Research Project Credit Points: 6 Prerequisites: BHSC4012 Session: Semester 2 Mode of delivery: Normal (lecture/lab/tutorial) day
Honours students complete a supervised research project in a healthdiscipline area within the Faculty. In completing the research, the student will work closely with academic staff/mentor who will supervise their research activities. Honours students learning and teaching activities will largely be driven by the nature of their research project. Likely learning and teaching activities include the production of written work that may be suitable for submission to a relevant refereed journal for publication or equivalent. These activities necessitate a collaborative relationship between supervisor and student.
