Drumset Principal Study

Unit outlines will be available through Find a unit outline two weeks before the first day of teaching for 1000-level and 5000-level units, or one week before the first day of teaching for all other units.
 

Drum Set Principal Study units

Drum set principal study requirements applies to students in the following degrees. Specific requirements are listed in the relevant Non-orchestral enrolment pattern.
(a) BMusic (Performance):
(i) 72 credit points in Drum set 1-2; 3-8 (extended).
(b) BMusic/BAdvanced Studies (Performance):
(i) 72 credit points in Drum set 1-2; 3-8 (extended).
(c) BMusic (Music Education):
(i) 24 credit points in Drum set 1-4.
(d) Diploma of Music:
(i) 24 credit points in Drum set 1-4.
DRUM1601 Drum Set 1

Each semester of study consists of 13 individual lessons with a specialist teacher. The unit will offer students a firm technical and theoretical grounding, a range of problem solving skills, and a variety of developmental processes, thus equipping students with a broad skill set to face challenges associated within an ever changing and evolving music industry landscape.
