Faculty of Medicine and Health
The Faculty of Medicine and Health brings together the areas of dentistry, medicine, medical sciences, nursing and midwifery, public health and pharmacy.
The consolidation of these disciplines simplifies the way that the University teaches and researches all aspects of healthcare.
The faculty is designed to enable innovation, excellence and strategic vision in teaching, research and clinical practice.
We are committed to making changes and advancements to ensure our medical and health disciplines are positioned to address the important challenges of healthcare in the 21st century.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health includes:
- The University of Sydney School of Dentistry
- The University of Sydney School of Medicine
- The University of Sydney Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery
- The University of Sydney School of Pharmacy
- The School of Medical Sciences, and
- The University of Sydney School of Public Health.
It also includes ten clinical schools:
- The University of Sydney Central Clinical School
- The University of Sydney Children’s Hospital Westmead Clinical School
- The University of Sydney Concord Clinical School
- The University of Sydney Nepean Clinical School
- The University of Sydney Northern Clinical School
- The University of Sydney, Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School
- The University of Sydney Westmead Clinical School
- School of Rural Health (Dubbo/ Orange)
- The Broken Hill University Department of Rural Health
- The University Centre for Rural Health.
The Faculty of Health Sciences will become a school and join the Faculty of Medicine and Health at a later date.
