The International Business program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills relevant to the development, strategy, and management of international business organisations; and an understanding of the institutional context for their development, growth, and operation.
The field of international business includes multinational and transnational business activities; strategic and managerial processes that cross national boundaries; joint ventures and strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions; managing international risk; cross-cultural management; and the interactions of international business organisations with their economic, political and cultural environment.
Degree structure
To be awarded the Master of International Business, students complete 10 units of study (60 credit points), comprising:
- four core units of study (24 credit points)
- four elective units of study (24 credit points)
- an international business project comprising two units of study (12 credit points)

International business project
The business project is designed to be completed at the end of the program over a five to seven week period. The two business project units of study will be offered in intensive mode during summer, winter and the first half of the following semester.

(i) Full-time study
The Master of International Business involves two semesters of coursework and a project (12-15 months) of full-time intensive study.
