III. Areas of specialisation

Students choose their specialisation/s and electives from the following subject areas.

In relation to these areas of specialisation, please note the following:

  • The units of study listed under the following subject areas are those available for 2014 and were approved for each specialisation at the time of publication. Students may also include any units of study, which are additional to those currently listed, which appear under these subject areas in the Business School handbook/website in subsequent years. The availability of units of study may change and students should check the Business School website (sydney.edu.au/business) regularly as it contains the most up to date information on unit of study availability as well as timetabling information for each unit of study, which is currently offered.
  • Non-foundational (advanced) units of study can only be used to meet the requirements for a single specialisation (i.e. cannot be counted towards two separate specialisations). For example, FINC6001 cannot be counted towards both a Finance and Banking specialisation.
  • Students should refer to the Business School website for the most up-to-date information regarding specialisations and associated units of study.
