Science Postgraduate Handbook 2021
Using the Science handbook
The Science Postgraduate Handbook contains information on the course rules and units of study requirements specific to courses offered by the Faculty of Science. Use this handbook when planning your studies to ensure you meet specific requirements and understand the rules for the course you are enrolled in. Note that for the duration of your course, you will need to follow the rules in the handbook from the year you commenced your studies.
Refer to the left-hand side menus and top of the handbook for tabs which direct you to a range of information
Coursework and Research
You can locate the course in which you are enrolled in through this section. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with the Course Resolutions. The Course Resolutions detail the requirements for award, progression rules, admission to candidature, course transfer and transitional provisions.
Other information included in this section may include the unit of study table, unit of study descriptions, sample enrolment tables and course learning outcomes.
Governance
The Senate Resolutions and Faculty Resolutions specify general course requirements; the Senate Resolutions for the courses offered and conferred by the University of Sydney, and the Faculty Resolutions for those courses specifically conferred by the Faculty of Science.
