Graduate Diploma in Science
Course overview
The Graduate Diploma in Science provides and entry qualification to a Master of Philosophy or Doctor of Philosophy, and consists of equivalent work to that carried out by candidates enrolled in Honours courses in the fourth year of a Bachelor's degree. The normal duration of the degree is one year full-time or two years part-time.
As part of the Graduate Diploma in Science, you undertake a research project in a specialisation area of science, under the guidance and supervision of an academic staff memeber who is expert in your selected area. Intending students should consult the Honours table for the range of disciplines offered. After dicussion of your interests with a relevent member of academic staff, an application should be lodged.
Entry to the Graduate Diploma is subject to approval by the relevant Head of School or Discipline Area, the Faculty, and confirmation that requirements for the award of a relevant Bachelor's degree have been met.
