Bachelor of Education (Primary)

The Course Learning Outcomes for Bachelor of Education (Primary) are as follows:


Course Learning Outcome


Appraise the potential of teachers work to promote equitable outcomes and make evidence-informed contributions to enhancing learning outcomes for the education of all primary aged students in a range of settings


Select and apply appropriate knowledge from a range of disciplines to inform professional teaching practice.


Develop and apply innovative and critical practices that draw from and inform theory, policy and research  to achieve effective, positive and inclusive outcomes for students, families and communities.


Demonstrates ability to use opportunities for ongoing professional development through a commitment to reflective practice and inquiry that critically engages with contemporary philosophy, theory and research


Demonstrate knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and reflect these in their practice in order to purposefully and collaboratively work towards redressing the continuing impact of dispossession and colonisation


Critically appraise dominant constructions about peoples, societies, and institutions, and challenge those that undermine human rights and equitable approaches to practice.


Construct and present a clear and coherent exposition of knowledge and ideas to a variety of audiences using reflective and flexible modes of communication.


Work ethically, inclusively and collaboratively, in partnership with students, professional colleagues, families and communities, in ways that recognise, respect and promote diversity.
