The School of Civil Engineering offers the ME with the following majors: | |||

All candidates are required to select a major. | |||
To qualify for the award of the Master of Engineering a candidate must complete 72 credit points, including: | |||
(a) 24 credit points of core units of study as listed in the units of study table; | |||
(b) At least 12 credit points of research units of study in the discipline of the candidate's major; | |||
(c) At least 24 credit points of specialist units of study in the discipline of the student's major as listed in the units of study table; and | |||
(d) A maximum of 12 credit points of elective units of study, subject to the approval of the Dean or the Head of School most associated with the discipline of the student's major; | |||
(e) If advanced standing of 24 credit points is given, the candidate must complete a minimum of 12 credit points core units, a minimum of 18 credit points of specialist units and a minimum of 12 credit points of research units, with 0 credit points of elective units. | |||
