- Table S: a shared pool of more than 100 majors, minors, Advanced Coursework and Honours units of study available to all students undertaking an undergraduate liberal studies degree and selected other degrees. The shared pool areas of study are outlined in alphabetical order.
- Table O: a collection of units offered in the Open Learning Environment (OLE). These units are designed to enable students to build novel skill combinations and extend their knowledge by exploring other fields of study.
- Table D (Dalyell stream): specialised Dalyell units and enrichment opportunities offered for high-achieving students (who are known as Dalyell Scholars).
- Table R (HDR Coursework): postgraduate coursework units in for PhD or Master by Research students to complement their research and career development.
- Industry and Community Project (ICPUs): projects where students work in multidisciplinary groups on authentic problems and issues. Projects are run in partnership with a broad range of industry, community and government organisations.
- Sydney Professional Certificates: short qualifications offering professional training and skill development for graduates who wish to update knowledge and skills in specialised and emerging areas within their professional area.
- Honours: an additional study during which meritorious students build on their undergraduate studies by completing a self-directed research project. This may be integrated into the undergraduate degree or require an additional year of study.
