Public Health

Master of Public Health

Students must successfully complete 72 credit points, including:
(a) 36 credit points of core units of study; and
(b) 24-30 credit points of Public Health elective units of study, noting:
(i) 18 of these credit points may be used to meet the requirements of a specialisation, as listed in the specialisation tables.
Available specialisations are:
Chronic Disease Prevention
Communicable Disease Control
Health Promotion and Advocacy
Research Methods
(ii) Completion of a specialisation is not a requirement of the course.
(c) 6-12 credit points of Capstone Experience units of study.
This requirement can be met by completing any of the following:
(i) 6 credit point Capstone unit of study, or
(ii) 6 credit point Special Project in Public Health unit of study, or
(iii)12 credit points of the Dissertation unit of study, or
(iv)12 credit points of Practice Placement in Public Health unit of study.

Graduate Diploma in Public Health

Students successfully complete 48 credit points, including:
(a) 36 credit points of core units of study; and
