Economics

Unit outlines will be available through Find a unit outline two weeks before the first day of teaching for 1000-level and 5000-level units, or one week before the first day of teaching for all other units.

Economics

Master of Economics

Students complete 96 credit points, including:
(a) a minimum of 24 credit points of foundation units of study; and
(b) a minimum of 24 credit points of core units of study; and
(c) a maximum of 42 credit points of elective units of study; and
(i) In addition, with prior written approval from the program director for the Master of Economics programs, it is possible for Masters students to count a maximum of one unit of study offered elsewhere in the University of Sydney.
(d) at least one specialisation:
(i) Economics Specialisation: 12 credit points in compulsory units
(ii) Econometrics Specialisation: 6 credit points in compulsory units
(iii) Financial Economics Specialisation: 6 credit points in prerequisite units, 12 credit points in compulsory units and at least 6 credit points in elective units
(e) a minimum of 6 credit points of capstone units of study.

Graduate Diploma in Economics

Students complete 48 credit points, including:
(a) a minimum of 24 credit points of foundation units of study; and
(b) a minimum of 24 credit points of core units of study.

Graduate Certificate in Economics

Students complete 24 credit points, including:
(a) 24 credit points of foundation units of study.
