5 Admission to candidature
(1)
Available places will be offered to qualified applicants in the order which complete applications are received, according to the admissions criteria listed below.
(a)
a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or an equivalent qualification with a weighted average mark of 65; or
(b)
completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate diploma with a weighted average mark of 70.

In exceptional circumstances the Head of School and Dean may admit applicants without these qualifications but whose evidence of experience and achievement is deemed to be equivalent.
(5)
If candidates wish to complete the double stream Master of Design (Stream) (Stream), they must enrol in the 96 credit point degree.
6 Requirements for award

To qualify for the award of the Graduate Diploma in Design, a candidate must complete 48 credit points including:

To qualify for the award of the Master of Design with a single stream, a candidate must complete 72 credit points, including:

To qualify for the award of Master of Design with two streams, a candidate must complete 96 credit points, including:

A candidate for the master's degree may elect to discontinue study and graduate with a Graduate Diploma from this embedded sequence, with approval of the Head of School and Dean, and provided the requirements of the Graduate Diploma have been met.
9 Transitional provisions
(1)
These resolutions apply to students who commenced their candidature after 1 January, 2019. These resolutions apply to students who commenced their candidature after 1 January 2021 and students who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January 2021 who elect to proceed under these resolutions. Students who commenced their candidature prior to 1 January 2021 may complete the requirements in accordance with the resolutions in force at the time of their commencement.
